Easy Shrimp and Noodle Recipe (w/ Ma La Tang Sauce Base)

I always eat this noodle as breakfast. It is quick, only takes less than 10 minutes to make. The flavor is amazing, extra tangy and savory. Shrimp and noodles provide lots of protein and carbs for me to start my day. 

Ingredients

  • 1 portion of egg noodles
  • 5-6 pieces of peeled shrimp
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tsp of oyster sauce
  • 2.5 tbsp of the Ma La Tang sauce
  • Diced scallion as a garnish

Instructions

  • Use a garlic presser to press 1 clove of garlic into a serving bowl. Follow up with 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of oyster sauce, 2.5 tbsp of Ma La Tang sauce. Stir to mix and set it aside.
  • Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook some noodles. I am using homemade fresh egg noodles. You can use other kinds, such as pasta, spagetti, rice noodles, or mung bean noodles. Whatever you like. Just follow the cooking instructions.
  • Fresh noodles cook really fast. It take a minute or 2. Add some peeled shrimp to the boiling pot. Let them cook for 30 seconds. Take the shrimp and the noodles out.
  • Mix with the sauce and you are done.
